The EK1 DS is the Delivery Spec Version of the EK1 L1e (50cc) category moped from Horwin. It features a modern design, smooth contours and bright colours and is spacious and comfortable. It was created specifically for delivery use to cover longer distances quickly, elegantly and economically.

This version is a single seater with the rear element of the bike being used to hold a top box platform capable of holding up to 30KG of items and comes with a 72v 40ah Battery (single or double)

The hub mounted Motor developed by Horwin creates an maximum output of 2.8 kW at a speed of 28mph, paired with a 72v 40ah Samsung lithium-ion battery giving a quoted maximum theorectical range of 66 miles and chargeable in 8 hours.  Alternatively you can order a 26ah battery version with a maximum range of  45 miles.

Like its more powerful counterpart, the EK1 it has a 14-inch front wheel and 13-inch rear wheel but offers excellent manoeuvrability. Its seat height is 780mm.

The EK1 has a wheelbase of 1320mm and a distance of 125 mm from the ground. The generous dimensions of 1900mm length, 500 mm width and 1130 mm height offer a correspondingly great driving experience. In addition, the EK3 has a maximum load capacity of 190 kg and offers space for up to two people.

The EK1 scooter is equipped with double hydraulic shock absorbers at the front and rear. They offer the driver an excellent driving experience regardless of the road conditions. 

The automatic daytime running light DRL (Daytime Running Light) shines with an intensive white xenon lamp. This improved lighting brings more safety especially on rainy and foggy days. An automatic light switch-off delay lights your way to the garage or entrance door when you leave the vehicle. The head lights are equipped with LED lamps. With their brighter and whiter light they literally cut through the night and are far superior to standard incandescent lamps. Compared to the yellow light of conventional halogen lamps, LED lamps also come very close to the colour of daylight. They give the driver a more natural impression of the road situation.

While you are cruising with your EK1, you can charge your smart phone on board via the USB connector.
